The FlexAir PAPR System is a compact, lightweight Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) System suited for use in a wide variety of scenarios, including hospital, military, and industrial settings.

Depending on the configuration, the FlexAir can provide nurses and EMS workers with HE protection from particulate and biological contaminants or help medical decon teams respond to a mass casualty incident involving exposure to chemical weapons or industrial solvents.

Regardless of configuration, the FlexAir comes equipped with an integrated rechargeable lithium ion battery installed in a waist-mounted blower. This battery provides a guaranteed 170 liters of air per minute for an operational time of up to 8 hours on a single charge. A range of flexible headpiece options are available, manufactured in materials including Tychem QC, Tychem SL, and butyl rubber. Filter options include from HE particulate filters for protection against particulates, aerosols, and biohazards and M96 canisters for protection from industrial contaminants and chemical weapons. Workers are protected by having contaminated air purified by filtration media mounted on the PAPR blower unit and delivered via a lightweight breathing hose to the user’s head cover.
