C420 CBRN Cap 1 Respirator

Part #: 30-100-7

The C420 CBRN Cap 1 respirator system is the most popular tactical first-responder PAPR system in the world. It is used in military, tactical, and aviation applications worldwide, and is a core component of the US National Guard’s incident response requirements for first responders addressing mass casualty and mass contamination threats.

The respirator system filters contaminants from ambient air and provides a constant, filtered air delivery of between 115 and 140 liters of air per minute to the user’s face piece. The C420 provides an assigned protection factor of over (IPF) 1000 when fit tested and worn correctly, far exceeding loose-fitting PAPRs or non-powered-air tight fitting face pieces due to positive pressure airflow delivery to the mask. As an added benefit, the cooling effect of constant filtered airflow provides a high degree of user comfort, which extends operational endurance and facilitates heavier work performance, even after extended wear times in hot, humid, and highly stressful conditions.

The C420 comes equipped with M96 canisters as standard and is suitable for protecting against the inhalation of everything from particulate contaminants through live agent / chemical weapon exposure.

  • Positive pressure air delivery greatly reduces physical stress on the wearer and helps to preserve mental acuity during taxing operational situations
  • C420 is fully decontaminable and modular construction allows for easy disassembly for maintenance
  • NIOSH-approved and tested against live agent chemicals at the US Army’s Aberdeen Proving Grounds testing facility with live agents
